Madeline graduated from Conestoga College back in 2018. She has a love for collecting interesting packaging, stationery, and unique illustrations. For the following few years, she worked as a freelancer but came to the realization that it wasn’t for her. She made the impulsive decision to go to graduate school to give herself more opportunities and broaden her understanding of design. Before she started grad school, she knew she wanted to focus her research on sustainability with an art/design and technological application. Action against climate change needs to happen immediately including one's everyday lifestyle. People should be empowered to an effective change that not only betters their life but betters the planet. That is why Madeline’s MRP is about increasing composting rates with high-density areas within cities. She is using user experience principles to create a digital solution as a tool to assist.
