Emilie Trimbee is a Lighting and Video Designer working in Toronto who has been working since 2018. After a Research assistantship during her undergrad she began looking more deeply into augmented reality pre-visualization for lighting design. After graduation from her BFA she worked as a freelance lighting designer and theatre technician before working for a year as a Product Specialist at Blacktrax. During her time there she traveled to work on large scale shows such as touring Ice shows, Broadway shows, and other experiments and workshop integrations. Emilie’s current project is to use Augmented Reality through the Unreal Gaming engine to Pre Visualize Lighting, Video, and Set Design for Theatre and Live Performance to elevate the creative process, allow for greater creative freedom, and work beyond the financial and resource restrictions that currently exist in the industry.
